Week In Review Emotional Support Animal LWIL # 37 October 2, 2023

We all need some support emotionally in life to help us get through.

This week this wonderful four legged friend with big teeth is the friend you need.
If Benedict Arnold had had him as a companion maybe he wouldn’t have hiked off to Canada.
Or Machine Gun Kelly could have used him to lift him up as he shot at the FBI.
He would make a great mascot for Jimmy Akin’s Mysterious World.
I’m sure Pope John Paul 2 would have loved him.

If you meditate on the mysteries of the #rosary you’re sure to encounter something perplexing in your meditation. Some detail, big or small, that catches you by surprise.

Ask #God what it means. Then continue praying. You’ll get your answer over time, if you’re ready for the wisdom it grants. Try this exercise during your rosary meditations. It’s not about the answer so much as seeking the answer.

It’s interesting that Mother Teresa- who spent decades of her life ministering to lepers and ppl who were literally attached to the slum streets where they lay – was probably the most outspoken critic of abortion of her time.

There were no “but they might grow up to live in poverty or be abused” excuses for her.

This woman saw each person as a child of God and didn’t wish any one of them away.

    She just loved them.

Who are some characters from some completely different literary works who would be fun to imagine meeting up?

I am thinking, Bilbo Baggins and Jane Eyre would have some delightful conversations.

Pope Francis@Pontifex (September 30, 2023) The College of Cardinals is called to resemble a symphonic orchestra, representing the synodality of the Church: diversity is indispensable. However, each sound must contribute to the common design. This is why mutual listening is essential.

Melody Lyons@melodymlyons (October 1, 2023) I got excited about a listing for free maple syrup processing equipment. Turns out they are hoping to trade for a miniature goat. I have no goat. Very disappointing.
Huckleberry@BurnerCoast (October 1, 2023) Since my 3 week Twitter fast, I’m finding myself less interested in commenting on divisive stuff. So much anger and frustration and fear on this site. I hope I can remain detached and unaffected by those influences and just curate a peaceful, positive little corner.
