Researchers are turning up more and more evidence to support the allegation that the British monarchy was involved in the colonial slave trade more than formerly thought. This new evidence may impact future accountability to the descendants of African slaves in the form of monetary reparations in several parts of the world, including the USA. King James II (1633-1701)–the King of England and grandson of King James I who commissioned the famous King James Version of the Bible (KJV)–directly oversaw... Read more

Europe just won the Ryder Cup by absolutely trouncing the USA. The final score apparently will be 16 to 11. The US got off to such a miserable start in these biennial and historic, three-day matches. By the second day, yesterday in early afternoon, the score was Europe 8.5 points to USA 1.5 points. So, the Americans had dug themselves such a big hole from which it was nigh impossible to extricate themselves. European golf fans used to be polite... Read more

After two days of the Ryder Cup, with tomorrow’s final round to go, the score stands at Europe 10.5 points and the US at 5.5 points. So, the US must have a massive surge tomorrow to win this premier sporting event in what would be its first US win on European turf in the past thirty years. It didn’t used to be this way. The US used to own the Ryder Cup, plain and simple. But that was before the... Read more

This weekend, I’m attending a virtual conference called New Insights into the New Testament. It is hosted by Dr. Bart Ehrman, bestselling author and professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. The conference consists of ten professors presenting hour-long speeches about new insights into the Bible’s New Testament (NT). I watched two presenters today: Dr. Mark Goodacre and Dr. Dale Allison. Tomorrow, I intend to watch Dr. James Tabor and Dr. Amy-Jill Levine. I know... Read more

Twenty-five year old Sahith Theegala is one of my favorite young players on the PGA Tour. Just minutes ago, he won his first PGA Tour tournament, his 74th start. It was the Fortinet Championship at Silverado Resort’s North Course in Napa, California. He shot a four-under par 68 to post a 21-under par total of 267 to win by three strokes over S. H. Kim, another buddying young star. Theegala had a terrific rookie season in 2021. He finished 26th... Read more

Golfers are always asking, “What’s the best club in the bag? I say it depends on who you ask. Ben Crenshaw says, “It’s the putter because, Drive for show, putt for dough.” Ben Hogan says, “It’s the driver because, If you drive crooked, you may never putt.” Donald Trump says, “All you FAKE LAME BRAINS don’t know what you’re talkin’ about!!! I win my club championship every year, so I know. It’s the FOOT WEDGE!” Read my book, Bible Predicts... Read more

Last week ex-president Donald Trump said in a radio interview with media broadcaster and friend, Glenn Beck, that if he regains the White House in the presidential election next year, he will have “no choice” but to imprison his political enemies. And Trump reportedly has been talking lately on the campaign trail about his vengeance he will exercise against some people who were instrumental in getting him indicted four times in the past five months. When Donald Trump ran for... Read more

One of the most important texts in the Bible is Daniel 7.9-14, and it contains perhaps the greatest revelation of Jesus in the Bible. But we need to get the background first. Daniel first relates, “In the first year of King Belshazzar of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head as he lay in bed. Then he wrote down the dream” (Daniel 7.1). In vv. 2-8, Daniel records this dream which is one of the most significant... Read more

Twenty-five year old Viktor Hovland of Norway dominated the PGA Tour’s season-ending FedExCup Playoffs by holding on to his lead yesterday, shooting a seven-under par 63 final round to win the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta by five strokes over the charging Xander Schauffele, who shot 62 while playing with the champ. Vikor had won last week’s BMW Championship as well to make it a runaway finale. In the victory presentation afterwards, Hovland said, “I played basically my... Read more

I’m almost finished writing a small book about the Christian gospel. The noun “gospel” appears in the New Testament of English Bibles about 100 times. The New Testament documents have come down to us in the Koine Greek language. Prior to the invention of the printing press, scribes used to hand copy manuscripts written in the Koine Greek language. Scholars now have over 5,000 of these ancient manuscripts, or portions of manuscripts, from which they compile a Greek New Testament.... Read more
